Cleaning standards · South Bay + Long Beach

The standard every PristineFlip crew is measured against.

Outcome-shaped QA for short-term-rental turnovers and residential hand-offs, plus the first-clean verification flow that decides whether a cleaner is solo-cleared — and whether their next payout is earned.

STR turnover checklist.

Short-term-rental turnovers reset the property between guests. Each item below is the observable pass condition a crew is being measured against — not the steps to get there.

Item 1

Entry path reads guest-ready from the curb

Porch swept, entry mat flat, smart-lock/lockbox code matches the job card, no cobwebs on the door frame.

Item 2

Kitchen reset covers every guest-facing surface

Countertops show zero soil under overhead light, appliance exteriors streak-free, cooktop glass-clean, every appliance tested working before locking up.

Item 3

Bath reset clears glass, chrome, and grout lines

Shower glass is streak-free under bathroom lighting, chrome shows zero residue, grout color is uniform, toilet bowl + waterline spotless, mirror streak-free.

Item 4

Bedroom + linen match the documented standard

Beds made to the documented set, every linen surface freshly laundered, bath + hand + wash counts match the per-guest standard.

Item 5

Odor + air reads neutral across every room

No cleaning-product sting, no stale food / musty carpet carryover, thermostat reset to the documented setpoint, every trash can empty and dry.

Item 6

Lighting + high-touch surfaces verified before lockup

Every switchable light turns on, no burned-out bulbs in guest-traversed fixtures, remotes + switches + handles sanitized with the disinfectant contact time honored.

Residential handover checklist.

Residential hand-offs cover five sub-verticals: move-in, move-out, deep clean, recurring maintenance, and post-renovation cleanup. The outcome targets below pair with each homeowner's booked scope.

Item 1

Move-in reset covers the empty-unit interior

Inside cabinets, inside appliances, closets, window sills and the baseboards the previous tenant missed — clean enough that a landlord and new owners can both point to it.

Item 2

Move-out detail defends the security deposit

Appliances inside and out, baseboards, window sills, the deposit-losing spots — every surface documented against the move-out scope before hand-off.

Item 3

Deep clean resets the home a weekly visit can't reach

Kitchen degrease, bathroom descaling, vent dusting, the details behind furniture — quoted per square footage and documented against the per-room scope.

Item 4

Recurring maintenance holds the same checklist each visit

Same crew, same checklist, photo-documented each visit — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cadence on the same home without the standard drifting.

Item 5

Post-renovation clear-out removes dust and debris

Construction dust cleared from every surface, vents, and the corners renovation crews leave behind — the home reads as move-in ready, not as a work site.

First-clean verification.

First-clean verification is how PristineFlip decides whether a new crew member is solo-cleared — and the same inspection shape decides which cleaner payouts are earned. The 2-clean passed counter plus the documented 80% cleaner share are the two rails every inspector stands on; the items below spell out both.

Item 1

Solo clearance requires two passed inspections

A crew member is solo-cleared after two PASSED first-clean inspections. CONDITIONAL_PASS counts toward the same 2-cleans counter when the inspector logs the outstanding item; FAILED does not.

Item 2

Inspectors measure against the documented 80% cleaner share

Inspectors confirm the same standard that backs the documented 80% cleaner share on every payout statement — every checklist item above must pass before the share is released on the cleaner's payout row. The platform computes the share from cleanerEarningsCents in marketplace.ts; the verification step here decides whether the payout is earned.

Item 3

A foundation supervisor or founder signs off the inspection

A founder or a supervisor listed in the crew roster signs the inspection. A crew member who is being inspected CANNOT also inspect someone else on the same property.

Item 4

Failed results trigger a re-clean, then a fresh inspection

On a FAILED result the inspector logs the failed items in notes and SMSs the supervisor; the crew member performs the re-clean, then a fresh inspection is logged. The re-clean passes toward the same 2-cleans-required counter.

Item 5

The QaInspection history page is reviewable by an auditor

Every first-clean inspection — passed, failed, conditional — is recorded with the inspector's name and the per-item results so an auditor can replay the verification at any time.

Photo evidence per visit.

Every visit carries a photo set so an auditor can replay the inspection. The coverage targets below are the minimum — an inspector can ask for more, and a host's claim UI links to the same photos for verification.

Item 1

Kitchen photo set covers the guest-facing surfaces

One photo each of: countertops (overhead light visible), cooktop after reset, appliance exteriors, sink + faucet, inside microwave + oven after the test run.

Item 2

Bath photo set covers glass, chrome, and the floor

One photo each of: shower glass under bathroom lighting (no streaks), chrome fixtures, toilet bowl + waterline, mirror, bath floor dry and clean.

Item 3

Bed + linen photo set documents the restock

One photo each of: each bed made to the documented set, the linen-count per bathroom rolled or folded, the per-guest towel set staged.

Item 4

Verification photo captures the sign-off moment

A timestamped photo of the crew member standing at the entry on lockup with the smart-lock / lockbox reflected in frame — the auditor's anchor for "this visit was signed off at this time".
