Frequently asked questions.
Answers to the questions Long Beach and South Bay homeowners actually ask when they're pricing out a recurring cleaning service, a one-time deep clean, or post-renovation reset. If your question isn't here, intake on the contact form and we'll reply within one business day.
Question 1
How often should I deep clean my home?
Most homeowners benefit from a professional deep clean every six months. Homes with pets, kids, or smokers usually need it quarterly — the kitchen, bathrooms, vent dusting, and baseboards collect residue faster than a weekly visit can keep up with.
A weekly or bi-weekly recurring visit keeps surface dust, kitchen counters, and bathrooms under control between deep cleans — but it doesn't replace a deep clean the same way changing the oil doesn't replace a tune-up. A deep clean covers slow-accumulating detail work that recurring maintenance visits skip on purpose: vent dusting, kitchen appliance degrease inside and out, bathroom descaling, baseboards, window sills, door frames, the spots under heavy furniture.
Solo household or a couple, no pets: every six months is usually enough. Families with kids and pets: quarterly, because sticky floors, fingerprint walls, and pet hair build up faster than a weekly wipe-down reaches. Smokers: every two to three months, since nicotine film on glass and walls calls for a chemistry pass that maintenance doesn't carry. Renters prepping for a deposit: a single deep clean at move-out is the deposit-defending play — paired with a checklist you hand the landlord.
If you can't remember the last time you pulled a refrigerator out to clean behind it, or your baseboards have visible dust lines, it's time. We scope the visit against your square footage and the time since the last deep clean, so you don't pay for the wrong cadence.
Question 2
What's the difference between a deep clean and a recurring maintenance visit?
A deep clean is the detail reset — appliance inside-and-out, bathroom descaling, vent dusting, baseboards, window sills. A recurring maintenance visit is the surface upkeep between deep cleans: counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchens, the shared spaces. They cover different layers of the same home, and most households need both on different cadences.
Recurring maintenance pricing sits lower per visit because the crew knows the home, the timing is consistent, and the scope is repeatable. Deep cleans price higher because the visit length is longer, the chemistry carried is heavier (descaler, degreaser, mineral remover, enzyme treatments), and the work is end-of-quarter heavy lifting. Booking deep + recurring on the same home gets you the right rhythm without carrying two crews — same crew knows both modes.
Question 3
How much does house cleaning cost in the South Bay?
Residential pricing is quoted per visit, scoped against your square footage, the kind of clean you booked, and any pets, smokers, or trouble spots. We don't post a price card because every home reads different — square footage, the time since the last structured clean, pets, kitchen degrease load, the difference between prepping for a listing photo session and settling a deposit.
We send a written quote before the crew walks in, the recommended visit length, and the next two available arrival windows for your service area. Recurring households get a per-visit discount once the second and third visits are on the books — same crew, same checklist, photo-documented each visit. Move-in / move-out quotes are scope-driven by the empty-unit reset you actually need, not by sticker pricing.
Question 4
Do you use eco-friendly cleaning products?
We carry plant-based and biodegradable chemistries across the residential line — kitchen degreaser, bathroom descaler, mineral remover — and default to them unless a specific job calls for solvent-strength (oxidized mineral buildup, smoke-stained walls, paint overspray). Our crews know the difference and don't load the stronger chemistry as a habit.
If you have allergy or asthma concerns, tell us on intake — we route microfiber-only dusting, HEPA-filter vacuums, and fragrance-free post-clean rinse on request. The same crew members cycle through your home on recurring visits, so the chemistry mix is consistent visit to visit. Pets and small children don't change the default route; they change how we ventilate during the visit.
Question 5
How far in advance do I need to book a residential cleaning?
Most residential visits book with three to five business days of lead time during the standard week. Same-week slots open up when a cancellation lands or your service area is on the day's route — call or text the office and we'll tell you what's actually open rather than padding the calendar with what isn't.
Move-out and post-renovation runs need more notice (longer visit windows, sometimes two-visit coordination with painters or flooring crews), so plan a week ahead when you can. Recurring maintenance slots auto-renew on the same weekday once you've booked the first three visits — you stop being on top of the calendar.
Question 6
What should I do before the cleaning crew arrives?
Before the crew arrives, pick up loose items from the floor and counters so the time on-site is spent cleaning, not organizing. We work around pet beds, baby gates, and kid art on the fridge — but the more surface area that's accessible, the deeper the clean lands.
Secure pets in a room they're comfortable in, or have someone home for the first visit — once the crew knows your pets, they're fine loose. Move-out and post-renovation customers should walk the space with us on the first five minutes so the scope is right; everyone gets a written checklist at hand-off. Recurring households don't need any prep beyond the standard pickup.
Question 7
Is there a discount for recurring cleaning service?
Recurring maintenance pricing carries a per-visit discount at the weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cadences — lower than the equivalent one-time visit because the crew knows the home, the chemistry is consistent, and the scope is repeatable. We size the discount against the cadence: weekly gets the deepest, monthly the shallowest.
The first three visits are booked individually so we can tune the scope against your home. After the third, the visit auto-renews on the same weekday and the discount kicks in. Cancel or pause any time — there's no contract, just the calendar.
Question 8
How do you clean a home after a renovation?
A post-renovation deep clean is not the same as a regular deep clean — it carries fine-dust wipe-down across every surface (cabinet faces, window sills, door frames, light fixtures), construction-residue removal from countertops and appliance exteriors, and a final polish before the room sees daily use.
We coordinate with your contractor or painter — typically booking the visit 24 to 72 hours after the last trade walks out, when the dust has settled but before anything gets sealed in by use. HEPA-filter vacuums and microfiber-only dusting are the default on these visits, since fine construction dust loads differently than regular household dust. If your remodel touched stone counters, tile, or stained wood, tell us on intake so we carry the right chemistry.
